Nephrology

Our Nephrology service provides expert care for patients with kidney disease, hypertension, electrolyte disturbances, and metabolic conditions that impact long‑term health. Our specialists manage acute and chronic renal impairment, dialysis planning and transition, and long‑term care following kidney transplantation.

Chronic kidney disease is a major contributor to reduced bone density, mineral imbalance, and increased fracture risk. Many patients also experience changes in muscle mass and body composition due to chronic inflammation, reduced activity, altered nutrition, or medication effects. To address these interconnected issues, our clinic integrates renal care with comprehensive bone and metabolic assessment.

Patients have access to DEXA scanning for bone density, fracture‑risk evaluation, and detailed body composition analysis. These tools allow us to monitor changes in fat‑free mass, muscle distribution, and bone strength over time essential for preventing complications and guiding safe, personalized treatment plans.

Care is delivered through a coordinated team that includes nephrologists, a Nurse Practitioner, physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, and dietitians. This multidisciplinary model supports patients across medication management, lifestyle modification, nutritional optimization, and long‑term monitoring, helping to stabilize kidney function, reduce complications, and improve overall wellbeing.
