About

Dr Daniel Boulos (MBBS (Hons), FRACP) is a consultant Rheumatologist and General Medicine physician with a public appointment at Monash Health and an academic teaching affiliation with Monash University. Dr Boulos completed his medical degree at Monash University, graduating with honours, before completing his specialty rheumatology training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Monash Medical Centre.

Dr Boulos has a keen interest in research, having published several papers focused on leveraging ‘big-data’ to identify underappreciated markers of disease activity and severity. Dr Boulos has been invited to present at both national and international conferences including the European League against Rheumatism and the American College of Rheumatology.

Dr Boulos’ main interests are around the inflammatory arthritis conditions, including seronegative arthropathies and musculoskeletal disorders. In particular, he has an interest in the interplay of the biopsychosocial mechanisms of illness and their influence on disease presentation. Outside of work, Dr Boulos enjoys cooking and horse riding.
